Gratuitous government goofs?

Every year, twice a year, I swear at the government for enforcing useless counterproductive "daylight savings".

That feeling leads me to wonder what other programs we could do without. Perhaps:
...and for the Americans:
It's 2016!

What do you think?!?

While the exact causes of high-speed fatalities rely on too many variables, I think we can safely conclude that the kind of arrogant recklessness that categorizes high-speed drivers on public roads needs external moderation. And not for them (hey, they can crash and burn and speed when only their lives are at risk), but for the others who would simply like to move from point a to point b without unnecessary life-threatening risk.
