- (via RM) EBMUD's plan to expand a dam on the Mokelumne River is blocked by environmental problems. Maybe NOW they can look into proper water pricing to lower demand instead of looking for more supply? Like I suggested two years ago?
- WaterFind in Australia has an online water market information center (centre!) with hydrological and financial data that traders can use to buy and sell water online. In the underdeveloped water markets of the US, WestWater is rolling out a water clearinghouse (reporting executed trades) and publishes a quarterly newsletter. Maybe politicians and regulators can compare the two and make some adjustments to let American markets develop?
