The government is spending $40 million in federal stimulus funds to pull water from underground aquifers in drought-stricken California, even as evidence is growing that the well-drilling boom could degrade the quality of water delivered to millions of residents.Better to have not spent the money at all! (Here's how I would have done it.)

JWT says: "Today's Washington Post says the administration has spent $33 Billion to create new jobs, and actually created 600,000 new jobs. Do the math. It is amazing."
DZ says: that's $55,000/job -- not too good if they last less than a year and pay less than $50k.
One has to wonder if CA can recognize the dots:
JOBS
SOLVE
NO DAMAGE
RENEWABLE ENERGY
NON-TRIBUTARY
FRESH WATER
ENVIRONMENTAL ENHANCEMENT
ANNUAL
COOPERATION
COMMUNICATION
NO RISK
REAL
IF CA was serious remotely serious, CA would ask that the dots be connected ...
